Our emblem

Unknown-3.jpeg

Our emblem, a branch of three pomegranates, is the symbol that appeared on the coins used by Hebrew revolutionaries during the resistance and heroic revolts against Rome. The 3 pomegranates are respectively symbols of the Unity of the people, of its function as priest of the nations and of its eternity beyond history; The writing at the bottom right is composed of proto-Sinaitic letters, the alphabet which was used by the Hebrews from the time of Moses until the end of the kingdom of Israel. By using these letters that make up the name Yeshurun, we affirm our roots in the values of ancient, original Hebraism.

Furthermore, the name Yeshurun chosen for our movement is recorded three times in the Torah. It is the third name of Patriarch Yaacov (Yaacov, Israel and Yeshurun) This last name, Yeshurun,  would replace that of Israel, when the people of Israel, returning to the holy land, will also have completed their return to their creator; It is therefore in this hope of the Ultimate Return that our movement is called Yeshurun.
